Competitive Program

Our Competitive Program provides students the tools and opportunity to take their dance training to the next level. Dancers will set higher goals and meet higher expectations in a fast paced learning environment, coupled with a variety of performance opportunities.

​PRE-COMPETITIVE PREREQUISITES:

• All new competitive dancers start here no matter their dance experience.
• Age seven as of January 2027 to seventeen years old. 
• At least one year of dance experience in the genre you would like to compete in. Genre Options for Pre-Competitive: Acro, Breaking, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz and Variety.
• Currently dances at least one hour/class a week.
• Consistent attendance for all class enrolments. 
• Demonstrates full participation in class, shows kindness and respect to peers and teachers, applies corrections and is motivated to improve.
• Practices skills and choreography outside of the classroom. ​

COMPETITIVE PREREQUISITES:

• All returning 2025/26 competitive dancers are eligible for our Competitive stream.
• All returning 2025/26 Pre-Competitive dancers must be approved by their 2025/26 choreographers to transition into our Competitive stream.
• Consistent attendance rate for all class enrolments and rehearsals. 
• ​Demonstrates attention to detail, applies corrections quickly and full participation in all classes.
• Shows kindness and respect to peers and teachers.
• Practices skills and choreography outside of the classroom.

STEPS TO JOIN OUR TEAM:

1. Read through our Competitive Program Handbook. Email for Handbook. 
2. Reach out if you have any questions.
3. Attend the mandatory Pre-Competitive parent meeting on Tuesday, May 5th from 5:30pm-7:00pm or Competitive parent meeting on Tuesday, May 5th from 7:30pm-9:00pm with our Competitive Program Director, Sam. 
4. Read and sign our Competitive Program Policies, which will release to you the Competitive Team Applications. Our policy document will be released to you for signature on May 6th. You can read our 2026/27 Competitive Program Policies at the end of this Handbook, which will be all of the policies you will sign off on prior to receiving our Application. Email for Program Policies Sign Off.
5. Fill out our Competitive Team Application. Application will be released to you via email after you have signed off on our policies. Applications are due May 15th, 2026.
6. Attend our Pre-Competitive and Competitive Auditions the week of May 19th-22nd, 2026. Our audition schedule will be released on May 9th, 2026.
7. Wait patiently for placements, choreography dates and our class schedule which will be released by June 15th, 2026.
8. Consistent attendance and participation for all choreography dates, classes, rehearsals and events.​
