Our Adult Program is where humans 18+yrs have their chance to shine! Whether you are new to dance, are returning after a few years off or have been dancing non stop for all of your life, you'll surely have a magical time! With sessional classes, performance classes and competitive classes to choose from, there is something for everyone! Please see below our current adult class offerings.

STREET STYLES

About This Class
For anyone who’s ever been interested in Street Dance and thought “I could never do that”, this class is for you! As someone who felt incapable of most things and too uncomfortable for the rest of things… I’m telling you, if I can do it, anyone can. I’ve spent my career figuring out ways to make Street Dance feel attainable for any age/shape/size person out there. Every move has multiple progressions and options available, and the great thing about Street Dance is there are no rules, and you don’t HAVE to do anything but be yourself.
But what is “Street Dance” or “Street Styles”? Great question! Street Dance is any style that originated from the streets. What about Street Styles? 2 for 2 on the great questions, look at you go. Street Styles is my idea at making a class that is not predominantly focused on any one style of Street Dance but is the overarching class touching on ALL Street styles. This doesn’t mean we will play Street style twister, bouncing between each style every week. It simply means we will be touching on elements of every Street Dance, but predominantly focusing on Street style MOVEMENT. Grooves over moves, the feeling over the look. Styles we will touch on will take from old school hip hop freestyle, & new school, popping, locking, breaking, housing and many more.
Think of this as a party class where we just get down and have fun versus a structured class… The goal is not to impress, the goal is to express in a way that makes you love to move to your own groove. Life’s too short to not dance, and everyone deserves to dance the way that makes them happiest. I'd love nothing less than to help you find that way.

May 29th & 30th, 2027 – Recitals at Howe Sound Secondary School
Attendance
Since this class is not competing, there is flexibility and forgiveness with absences. However, this class is progressive and will build on each lesson week after week per session.

Our Performance Hip Hop class focuses on center grooves, across the floor progressions, building on steps and learning recital choreography after the Winter Break. This class will be a bit more chill and social than our Competitive Hip Hop and Pre-Competitive Variety classes. This class is geared for adult dancers looking for a low key, fun, and social dance experience.

Choreography will be set during our weekly class from September-November. Classes from December onwards will be spent practising the choreography to feel confident for the competition stage!
Class Structure
This fun class will train dancers in a triple threat style of performance technique, along with character development, story telling and performing big. Our Pre-Competitive Variety class focuses on learning and practicing one piece of choreography all season long leading up to competitions. While there will be skill development, this class will focus mostly on rehearsing the competition routine and making minor changes to choreography as necessary. This class is geared for adult dancers wanting a more intensive dance experience.
Performance Commitments
** Exact performance day and time for each event will be released at least two weeks prior to the event date at the discretion of the event coordinators.
February 5th, 2027 – Competitive Showcase at Centennial Theatre
May 5th-9th, 2027 – Evolve Dance Competition at Delta Hotels Burnaby Conference Centre
May 29th-30th, 2027 – Recitals at Howe Sound Secondary School

September 8th-10th – 8:00pm-10:00pm
This is where the group routine will be choreographed, allowing weekly class time to be focused on practicing the piece to feel confident for the stage in February. **You must be able to attend this entire choreography session in order to take this class.

Our Competitive Hip Hop class focuses on rehearsing one piece of choreography (learned in the mandatory choreography session) all season long leading up to competitions. While there will be skill development, this class will focus mostly on rehearsing the competition routine and making minor changes to choreography as necessary. This class is geared for adult dancers wanting a more intensive dance experience with lots of performance opportunities.
Performance Commitments
